Newly announced Idol PH winner Zephanie Dimaranan and Gold Squad member Kyle Echarri recall their unforgettable moments from Team Sarah and how it led to their stardom.
It was 2015 when these two auditioned in The Voice Kids (Season 2) and were chosen to be under the supervision of Coach Sarah. Unfortunately, both of them failed to advance to the Grand Finals of the said competition but that didn't stop them in pursuing their dreams.
In this photo, they remake the announcement of Team Sarah's representative to the Semi Finals of TVK in 2015. Fast forward to 2019, they have already proven that timing is everything. That their failures serve as their inspiration to never give up.
Looking back, Kyle Echarri was only at the age of eleven when he rose to prominence and made his debut television appearance as a contestant on The Voice Kids (Season 2). Although he only landed in the Top 6, that did not hinder him to stop from singing. He continued to pursue his dream of becoming a recording artist and released his full-length studio album, ‘It’s Me Kyle’ that spawned the hit single “Fall For Me”.
Kyle also ventured out in acting when he was cast as Nadine’s half-brother in On the Wings of Love and now playing the role of Kristoff in the top-rating and trending afternoon series, Kadenang Ginto. He is also a member of The Gold Squad together with his love team Francine Diaz and recently released their group-titled EP with their hit song “Halo-Halo”.
Coming from the same The Voice team as Kyle is Zephanie Dimaranan. Both of them finished off in the Top 6 but Zephanie required a little more effort into reaching her dream. She continued to join more singing contests from ABS-CBN such as Tawag ng Tanghalan with Janine Berdin who emerged as the winner and Idol Philippines that made her mark in people’s hearts.
Her clear tone and powerful belts soared her to the Top 3 of the competition. During the finals nights, she chose to perform "Maghintay Ka Lamang" by Charice and her debut single “Pangarap Kong Pangarap Mo” written by award-winning composer, Jonathan Manalo and with a total of 100% combined scores of judges scores and public votes; she was hailed as the first ever Idol Philippines Grand Winner.
