MANILA - Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her excitement on her recent post on Instagram that she will be the voice of the traffic navigation app Waze. It was launched last Monday making her the very first Filipino celebrity voice to be featured in this app.
Gray's voice is now available on the app, helping motorists navigate the roads while offering safety tips such as "Time to park the car and do the lava walk," Waze said in a statement.
Some netizens shared their experiences hearing Catriona Gray's voice on Waze:
Download my voice for tomorrow’s drive so we can help you fin your way.
Heavy traffic ahead, could be annoying, but I always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to see situations with a silver lining.
I’m here to help you, find your way
“Being the newest voice on Waze enables me to share positivity to Filipinos who are on the road—going to school, work or wherever they need to be. I want to keep them inspired and help them find their way so that we can all be happy and remain optimistic, despite many challenges such as the traffic," Gray said.
With the beauty queen on board, driving experience in the country is "even more enjoyable," Waze Philippines country manager Sarah Rodriguez said.
